- Regulations and safety requirements relating to 'rigging' trees.
- Inspection and maintenance of rigging equipment (LOLER).
- Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) prior to carrying out rigging operations.
- Planning of safe systems and strategies for work.
- Risk Assessment for site and operations.
- Rigging forces and compatibility/configuration of equipment.
- Construction of lowering ropes, effects of friction, bend ratios, 'cycles to failure' and safe working loads of rigging equipment.
- Aerial rescue from a standing stem.
