  • Inspection and maintenance of rigging equipment (LOLER).
  • Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) prior to carrying out rigging operations.
  • Planning of safe systems and strategies for work.
  • Risk Assessment for site and operations.
  • Rigging forces and compatibility/configuration of equipment.
  • Construction of lowering ropes, effects of friction, bend ratios, 'cycles to failure' and safe working loads of rigging equipment. 
  • Aerial rescue from a standing stem.
